50% of produce harvest from MILPA gardens are donated to local charities, food backs, and groups to fight hunger, promote health, and provide education. Even small areas can produce hundreds of pounds of food.

MILPA farming began more than 4,000 years ago with the Maya in Mesoamerica. It is a sophisticated technique to cultivate a variety of crops to support their entire communities. The form of MILPA gardening we use honors their wisdom and guidance.
